• Support for the relief of mild to moderate acute pain: may be considered for conditions such as headache, toothache, muscle pain, soft tissue pain, musculoskeletal pain, or pain following minor procedures or surgeries, when deemed appropriate by a physician.

• Fever reduction support: Intravenous paracetamol may be used for fever when the oral route is deemed unsuitable, not tolerated, or insufficiently effective based on a physician’s assessment.

• Anti-inflammatory support in appropriate situations: NSAIDs can help reduce inflammatory responses and pain associated with inflammation; however, careful screening for gastric, renal, cardiovascular, and bleeding risks is required before use.

• Supports symptom control when oral administration is not feasible; suitable for patients experiencing nausea, vomiting, difficulty swallowing, or gastrointestinal disorders, or those requiring intravenous medication as prescribed.

• Supports the restoration of comfort and the ability to carry out daily activities: once pain or fever is effectively managed, the individual can rest, eat, and recover their physical well-being more easily.

• Support during post-procedure or post-activity care: may be used as part of a short-term symptom management plan, but does not replace treatment of the underlying cause.

• Individuals experiencing mild to moderate acute pain who require short-term symptom control.

• A person with a fever requires fever reduction but cannot take oral medication or has poor oral tolerance.

• Individuals experiencing musculoskeletal pain, soft-tissue pain, or pain following physical activity or minor procedures, provided a physician has assessed them and found no signs requiring emergency intervention.

• Patients experiencing nausea, vomiting, or difficulty swallowing, or those with conditions that make oral medication unsuitable.

• Individuals requiring a short-term pain relief or fever-reducing regimen under medical supervision at the clinic.

• Determine the location, nature, onset, and severity of the pain, as well as factors that aggravate or alleviate it and any associated symptoms.

• Measure vital signs: temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respiratory rate, and SpO₂; assess the degree of dehydration if fever or vomiting is present.

• Inquire about liver disease, kidney disease, peptic ulcer disease, gastrointestinal bleeding, asthma or aspirin/NSAID allergy, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, coagulation disorders, pregnancy/breastfeeding, and current medications.

• Check medications the patient has previously taken, particularly those containing paracetamol/acetaminophen, NSAIDs, aspirin, anticoagulants, antiplatelet agents, or corticosteroids, as well as alcohol consumption.

Regarding intravenous paracetamol:

• Do not use in cases of known hypersensitivity to paracetamol or any of the drug’s components.
• Do not use—or avoid use—in cases of severe hepatic impairment or severe active liver disease.
• Exercise caution in patients with liver disease, alcoholism, malnutrition, dehydration, concurrent use of multiple paracetamol-containing products, or severe renal impairment.
• Calculate the total paracetamol dose from all routes of administration to avoid overdose.

For intravenous or injectable NSAIDs:

• Do not use in patients with a history of allergy to aspirin/NSAIDs, aspirin/NSAID-induced asthma, or severe hypersensitivity reactions to this class of drugs.
• Do not use (or avoid use) in patients with active gastric or duodenal ulcers, gastrointestinal bleeding, a history of NSAID-related gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation, or a high risk of bleeding.
• Exercise caution or avoid use in patients with renal impairment, dehydration, heart failure, uncontrolled hypertension, cardiovascular disease, or coagulation disorders, as well as in the elderly and those taking anticoagulants or antiplatelet agents.
• Do not use multiple NSAIDs concomitantly or combine with other aspirin/NSAID products unless clearly indicated.
  Individual assessment is required for pregnant women—particularly during the late stages of pregnancy—and breastfeeding women.
